A Visit to Graystone in Sansar

Just a peaceful visit to Graystone by Ellethwin Graystone. Strap on your hiking bag and come roam the hills. Be sure to bring your camera because you won't see many people here to interact and socialize with. Here are your compass and map to this experience. -- https://atlas.sansar.com/experiences/ellethwingraystone/graystone

Boots Beach Has a New Address

Regular followers of my blog will know that Boots Beach holds a special place in my Second Life.  When I first arrived in SL, this was where I used to hang out with all the "Beach Bums"  It is also where I met my early mentors JakeC Hotshot and Eddi Haskell.

Markus has managed to keep the beach going strong with parties and shops and yes you can still just hang out around the camp fire.  A few weeks ago the beach moved and I wanted to share with you the new landmark.  There have been a few changes, but you will still find the same welcoming space that people have come to know and love.   Grab this surf board and go check it out -- http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Gay%20Fun%20Beach/74/38/21

Boots Beach

Boots Beach is a great place to chill or party it up with friends.  It has a longstanding history in Second Life for being one of the original gay friendly places in SL.  It is the place where Rocky first discovered the SL gay community and was mentored by some wonderful friends.  Visitors have been on the decline and they are trying to get the word out.  Support them with a visit.  They have some small shops there too. MMM Ice Cream

One of my favorite things to do in SL is to just hit the mainland and see what is out there.  I guess this is what Rod Humble called "the wild frontier spirit."  So this time I explored Route 11.  The journey began when I followed an old Landmark that was in my inventory.  Places come and go often in SL.  I imagine more so on the mainland.  The LM I took landed me someplace along Route 11.  At first I hitched a ride on one of those tour pods you see all over.  I got off at one of the Rez Zones and along came this ice cream truck and sure enough I was able to hitch a ride on it.  I didn't even have to steer it.  The funny thing is that I got off just as it was about to hit water. The road sorta ended.  I stood there and watched it continue on as if the road was still there.

St. Leviathan's Boys College

St. Leviathan's Boys College is currently getting a makeover.  Students are starting to re-settle into the new dorm rooms while some construction is still going on.  I have to say that this new build for the campus is pretty amazing.

Taylor2 describes Jungleboys as a gay male tribal community style roleplay. A close brotherhood of hot gay tribe boys.

He is the owner and creator of the Jungleboys sim and a very proud chief of an amazing tribe.

Rocky Visits LaPerla II, Old Italy

Sim Owner Addy Hax describes it like this,  “La Perla Due” : a beautiful and with love for details build Italian village, nice shops, cafes, bar and a lot more to explore, from time  to time there are live music events on the plaza or in the club. The church  on the hill can be rented for wedding.

I recently went for a visit and spent some time exploring the shops and taking in the beautiful landscape.  Here is your ticket to a vacation you won’t forget — http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/FuriZona/112/59/25

Jungleboys Slave Auction

One of the things I enjoy about Second Life is that it offers so many flavors for you to choose from. There is always something for you to perhaps try and sample. And you know for Rocky, it's all about options. Whether it's areas to explore or the choices on the blue menu.

Just a heads up that this is an Adult venue. More info can be found here. Grab the Landmark and go check this out.

My blog is getting a makeover

My tip jar at Jake's recently got a makeover and so I was thinking about giving my blog a makeover as well. Blogger recently added some easy-to-use features that make the customization process a lot easier. Things will be a bit messy until I settle on a new look for the site.

The carnival rides will be up all week at the Jake's sim so be sure to go and check it out.

Thanks to all my blog followers. It's always nice to see all of your faces here on my blog and in-world too.

Why should you try any SL Hunt?

I am just about finished with MHOH2. I found most of the symbols. I just need to go back and find the difficult ones. Some of us may just like to grab the freebie and run or others may make it a contest and race to get to the end.

So why do I participate in any SL Hunt?

First, I use them as a way to get some cool new clothes. Yes, some are duds, but you can weed them out in the end. You could just hunt at the stores you know and like, but you may miss out on a new place you haven't tried yet. I found a few this time around and actually bought a few things.

The other reason is that Hunts offer a great way to explore a new area on the grid, like the nearby places. The grid is a huge place and I always find something new and interesting in my travels.

Finally, as you can see from the pic, most of the stores are all decked out and that creates a photo opportunity if you like to take and share pics in SL.

Port Serenity

Port Serenity is a nice place to visit. While I was there I discovered this nice place to sit and have a pot of Japanese tea.

Imagine Peace Exhibit in Second Life

Today, I went to see the Imagine Peace exhibit in SL. After a short presentation in the Welcome Center, I went to the actual site of the tower. There I met a few others waiting to see the tower light up. It lights up at the region's time, so be sure to have your environment set to the region default. It's pretty amazing as you can see from the picture. The base begins to glow slowly before the rays of light start to shoot up about 500 meter. The message is one of Peace and Love. All my SL friends should stop by for a short visit. Here is the SLURL.

Here is a gallery project that I encourage you to go check out when you get a chance. It opened today and yes, it's here in SL. They are asking that you limit your prim attire and HUDs so that everyone can have a good experience with reduced effect on lag.

Ride the Train at Ivy Falls

Last night Duke and I wanted to get these nice looking boots at Exile on the Ivy Falls sim. Thanks to my friend Tyler Ethaniel for the fashion tip. After we got our boots, we noticed train tracks.

Duke found the station and we just had to hop on and ride. wink wink. Check it out. This train goes all around the sim. The sim looks great at all environments so be sure to try all the settings. Here is the SLURL.
