Rocky goes surfing in #secondlife

Surf Day in Second Life
Last Sunday I was getting re-acquainted with an old friend and he invited me to go surfing.  I have never been and I totally enjoyed it.  You should definitely give it a try.

Plants in your eco-friendly space

It's certainly no secret that plants in your home or workspace environment can have an effect on your overall sense of peace and happiness.  This is true in both your first and second life.

Are you are looking for an orchid to brighten up a space in your home or office?  Perhaps you want to give  a beautiful rose plant to someone special.   Then look no further than the PlantPets Store at Rockridge Heights where you will find many beautiful plant varieties to choose from.

Rocky Constantine says "PlantPets are probably the easiest breedable you can have in Second Life.  Just rez the seed, keep the water level near 100%, and you can have a baby plant seed every 52 days. You can even set plant friends to help you water them when you are away from SL.  Very low maintenance and there are no complicated fertilizers to buy."

So stop by Rockridge Heights and get yourself a little happiness today.   The PlantPet store is conveniently located on the corner of the sim.  When taking the train to Rockridge Heights be sure to exit the train station at the East Terminal.  Or take this landmark for a direct connection.  PlantPet Store and Crazy Garden @ Rockridge Heights

Boots Beach Has a New Address

Regular followers of my blog will know that Boots Beach holds a special place in my Second Life.  When I first arrived in SL, this was where I used to hang out with all the "Beach Bums"  It is also where I met my early mentors JakeC Hotshot and Eddi Haskell.

Markus has managed to keep the beach going strong with parties and shops and yes you can still just hang out around the camp fire.  A few weeks ago the beach moved and I wanted to share with you the new landmark.  There have been a few changes, but you will still find the same welcoming space that people have come to know and love.   Grab this surf board and go check it out -- http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Gay%20Fun%20Beach/74/38/21

Second Life: The adventure continues...

I grabbed a water bottle and my backpack and headed out to explore SL. 6+ years and it is still a great adventure for me. I hope it is for you too.

Get out the weed whacker

It really astounds me at the volume of "stuff" I have collected over my 5 years in SL.  I have been quite the pack rack.  Holding on to things that I will probably never rez or wear in my SLifetime.  Now it's become some sort of crazy game to weed through it every time I am in world.

This post was inspired by Gracie Kendal.  Here is the link to the post on her website. :)

Feeling Fall-ish

Fall is probably my favorite season in-world and out.  I guess it's the reflective part of me.  Things begin to slow down more after all the busy Summer activities and events.

Seasons are quite different here in the San Francisco Bay Area.  We do have our "micro climates"  This means that you can have cool weather on the bay but the temps heat up as you move inland by about 20 degrees difference.  One of the things I do envy about other places is the change in the colors that are shown in pictures like the one here.

The plus side is that in SL we can create any type of environment we choose if we have the space.  Beach theme sims seem to be quite popular these days.  Sometimes when I am out exploring the mainland, I come across the cold snowing sims and almost shiver.  I hope to create this more autumn type environment on my sim.  I have a few ideas and I may even post pictures here.
