Fabulous New Furniture

Earlier this week, I decided to change the livingroom space in my SL home with some new furniture. Yes, it has to be red for Rocky. It looks fabulous. [SLURL coming soon]

Theater Seats, Elevators, Headgear

My very best SL friend right now is Duke Magneto. He is a really smart business guy and he creates some pretty amazing stuff. I have even had the opportunity to try out and own some of these fun products. His latest project is a very well designed bed with a lot of great pose options. One thing Rocky loves about all the products are the many options you find on that infamous blue menu. You can also find a lot of these products on xstreetsl. There are some exciting things happening in the coming weeks and Duke is definitely going to be part of it.

What did you do last night? Part 1

I have been feeling a little sad lately. Last night I responded to an IM from my friend Troy. He got some really nice furniture and was going to place the pieces in his home. Very exciting. So I TP over to check it out. WOW! The pieces look fantastic. LaDonna Upshaw at Sweet Romance Furniture does really nice work. After Troy meticulously placed the pieces we did some happy dances. He added about 6 new ones. He was kind enough to share a note card with them. I really like a few and hope to add them to my collection.

As we chatted, he had mentioned that like me, he too loves to dance even when he is alone in-world. We also like to multitask and build or adjust things while we dance. Funny. We danced as he showed me some really cool art pieces he wants to put on the walls. The theme of the pieces was "Ships".

He crashed and left me dancing alone in his house. :(

Shopping Time

Last night I joined Troy for some shopping. He was looking for some new furniture for his media room. A very cool room, I might add, and the pieces look great in it. After paying attention to detail and getting it set up, we went to my place where Troy helped me with a minor adjustment in the carpet. We finished the night by spending time making some of the adjustments to my new bed. I will look forward to finishing that project soon. I ended the night with... surprise surprise...taking advantage of an impromptu dance party at my neighbor Baz's place. Brady, Troy & Myles were also there.

Now I lay me down to sleep...

Now I have a place to lay down and rest. Thanks to Baz for gifting me with this nice bed. It's my first "real" piece of furniture in my new home.

A tip for anyone looking to furnish their home -- You certainly get what you pay for. I looked at a few boxes of freebie furniture and was not excited about the quality or design of the pieces. It sort of inspires me to see if I can work on my own building skills.
